There's understandably some concern about handling packages from e-commerce retailers. The WHO & Public Health Agency of Canada (PHAC) have stated that the likelihood of catching Covid-19 by touching cardboard or other packing materials is very low. As a further precaution, we'll only handle your order wearing nitrile gloves. We also regularly disinfect packing surfaces and parcel weigh scales.
We continue to ship your orders with our regular partners, Canada Post / USPS and occasionally UPS. Large furniture orders are sent "less than load" (LTL) with trusted freight companies. All are following WHO and government mandated guidelines.
So far, we have not experienced any shipping delays. If anything, lead times have sped up within Canada and to the United States. However, as the situation evolves, some minor delays may occur as local restrictions change.
Every order from The Fjord Store includes a tracking number so you can keep an eye on its progress 24hrs/day.
